Can it replace MobaXterm for me?

If you use it as a tabbed SSH and SFTP client with some network tools alongside, yes. If you rely on tunnelling, X11 forwarding or the local shell, no — and none of those are on the roadmap.

Can I import my MobaXterm sessions?

No, there is no importer. An established session list has to be re-entered, which is a real cost worth knowing before you switch.

A free MobaXterm alternative for Windows

For when the job is: One window with SSH, file transfer and the network tools, without paying per seat.

MobaXterm is the closest thing to what CySecTek is trying to be: a terminal with the surrounding toolbox in the same window, on Windows. It is also a mature commercial product, and the free edition limits you to twelve saved sessions and a handful of tunnels.

CySecTek covers a narrower set of jobs and covers them without a limit or a licence. The difference in emphasis is that MobaXterm grew out of a Unix environment for Windows — X server, remote desktops, a local shell — whereas this grew out of standing in a rack room. The switch-port discovery, the temporary DHCP and TFTP servers and the wireless survey are the parts that follow from that.

What CySecTek does here

No session limit and no paid tier — unlimited saved connections, grouped into folders per site or customer.
LLDP and CDP switch-port discovery, which tells you the physical port and VLAN you are plugged into. MobaXterm has no equivalent.
Temporary TFTP and DHCP servers for staging equipment, started for a job and stopped afterwards.
Wi-Fi survey with channel occupancy and a signal trace, for the times the complaint is wireless.
Saved passwords encrypted with a key derived from an app password that is never stored, rather than a local master-password file.
SSH host keys pinned on first connect and a change refused, with both fingerprints shown when a device really was rebuilt.

When to keep using MobaXterm

SSH tunnelling, port forwarding and jump hosts. MobaXterm does all three; CySecTek does none of them, and this is the single biggest reason to stay.
The X11 server for forwarding Linux GUI applications. There is nothing comparable here.
The local Cygwin-style shell, and the package manager that comes with it.
RDP, VNC, Telnet, rlogin and the rest of the protocol list. CySecTek does SSH, SFTP, RDP and serial.
Macros, scripting and session automation.
Portable mode from a USB stick — CySecTek has an installer, not a portable build.
